"I think it's very exciting when kittens come into your life. I remember staying up really late the night before our first kittens arrived because I was so excited. But if you have more than one, try not to have favourites because the others might get jealous. ;)

Follow this step by step guide to teach your cat to play fetch:

1. Throw a toy across the room.

2. Take the cat with you to fetch it.

3. Get the cat to pick it up in its mouth.

4. Get the cat to come back to where you started.

5. Keep repeating those steps and the cat should be playing fetch by itself.

Cats need lots and lots of attention. You can never give a cat too much attention. Here are a few thoughts on the cats that we own.

Coco was the first cat we bought. She is a beautiful girl who is very affectionate. She is in charge of the house, or so she thinks! She likes nothing more than bird watching in the garden when she's keeping Darcy company. Mrs Nesbitt loves to eat. Whenever we get some wet food out she dashes to the kitchen and starts miaowing her head off! Her sister, Rosie, is very soppy and loves her human Daddy the best! Darcy is the big friendly giant of the household. He is very gentle and loves to be the centre of attention. Nimvara has been a very good mum to the kittens, she has looked after them well. One is called Lina Lamont, she is a little cutie. Another one, Chicken, likes to stalk the other kittens whilst they're eating or playing."

"The best thing that cats will do is laze around in awkward shapes. They will lie on the armrest of the settee and will be in such a deep sleep that they'll fall onto the cushion itself and still sleep. One of our adults, Kanga, can play fetch just like a dog. But the best thing about the cats is that they are cuddly and sweet. My favourite is Kanga because she head-butts me at 7.30 in the morning and wakes me up!"

"The cats give me a cuddle, they are cute. I like Darcy because he is rubby and I like Rosie because she has a nice pattern."
